COVID-19 Message to Patients

Due to recent developments in the global COVID-19 pandemic and our directive from the College of Optometrists of Ontario to act in the interest of public safety, Shelburne Optometry will be CLOSED from March 17th until further notice for all routine eye care appointments. All scheduled appointments from now until March 31st, 2020 have been cancelled and will be rescheduled once we have re-opened.

As this pandemic has continued to escalate globally, we have made this decision with the health and safety of our patients, staff and community at the forefront. By taking this step, we hope to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community by supporting Government recommendations to encourage social distancing protocols, so that we can all resume our lives as soon as possible.

We will continue to monitor the situation as more updates are received, and hope to be able to go back to providing care to our wonderful patients from March 31st but will continue to move forward with our decisions based on the recommendations of our governing body and public health agencies. Please continue to follow our social media posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for updates.

If you have any questions or concerns, or if you are experiencing an ocular emergency, please email us at info@shelburneoptometry.com so we can assist you accordingly.

You can also leave a voicemail at (519) 925 3882 and we will get back to you as soon as possible with further advice.

We are all experiencing unprecedented times right now and the health and safety of our patients as well as our Shelburne Optometry team is of upmost importance. It was a difficult decision to temporarily close our doors, but one we felt was important to make in order to play our part in trying to flatten this curve of transmission, so we can all resume our lives as soon as possible.

We truly appreciate your ongoing loyalty and support to our clinic as always, and look forward to welcoming you back in the days to come. In the meantime, we hope that you and your family stay safe and in the best of health.

Warm Regards,

Dr. Krupa Chothani and
The Shelburne Optometry Family
